Dalvin Butler

Dalvin is a native of Oakland who attends Laney College as a concurrently enrolled high school student. He is graduating from Oakland’s Leadership Preparatory High School at the same time he is receiving three Associate of Arts degrees from Laney, where he has maintained a 3.70 GPA. Dalvin serves as an intern in the Oakland mayor’s office and is a teaching assistant in the African American Studies department. He will pursue a degree in political science at Georgetown University this fall and plans to become an elected public official. What I’ve learned at Laney: Good academic study habits.
