Haimet Kassaye

Haimet Kassaye is a native of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, who came to the United States in 2007. While at Laney, she earned an Associate of Science Degree and maintained a 4.0 GPA. She served as a student ambassador, and was a member of the International Students Club and the Chuck Norris Science Club. Haimet will be transferring
UC Berkeley to pursue an Engineering degree. Her career goal is to return to her native Ethiopia to improve drinking water and agricultural systems. What I’ve learned at Laney: “By facing your challenges, not running
